QUIET RIOT To Issue Live DVD
July 29, 2002FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
QUIET RIOT SLATED FOR A LIVE DVD RELEASE
QUIET RIOT, the group who made the term "Bang Your Head" a household slang, and who surprised many by setting the standard to what became an onslaught of Heavy Metal bands to come out of Los Angeles on the heels of the bands #1 debut Metal Health will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of that release in March of 2003.
To commemorate this milestone in their ongoing musical adventure, the group recently signed with the LA-based 2RS Studios for the recording of a live performance DVD scheduled to be released in early 2003.
"QUIET RIOT is synonymous with the 80's rock and roll scene worldwide," said Jack Edwards of 2RS Studios. "We feel that they are an endearing ingredient to what has become the soundtrack for the 80's generation. This, coupled with the fact that the band boast all their original members from the Metal Health release intact, a feat that is rarely seen twenty years later, make QUIET RIOT very attractive to us for this project."
When asked about their plans for their first-ever "live" DVD release, vocalist Kevin DuBrow commented, "This is something that the fans have wanted for as long as I can remember. I think it's time to give the people what they want!"
Tentative plans are to record the live performance sometime in October of 2002 at a Hollywood, California venue yet to be disclosed. It will be the only Hollywood concert appearance in 2002 for the group who made its entry into the Hollywood music scene in 1983. An announcement of the actual date will follow.
"We plan on performing all of the songs that our fans want to hear, as well as some songs that have not been performed live before, and will encompass the groups nearly 20 years of music to date," said drummer Frankie Banali. "We are very fortunate to have all original members, Kevin DuBrow (v),Carlos Cavazo (g) and Rudy Sarzo (b) which enables us to bring the best live performances possible to our fans."
"There will also be some very surprisingly surprise guest performers who will join us in our celebration of rock and roll" added DuBrow.
