RAGE Guitarist Undergoes Surgery
June 17, 2004According to a posting on Victor Smolski's web site, the RAGE guitarist underwent "intensive tests" after he was taken ill shortly following the group's appearance at Italy's Gods of Metal festival was "operated on on Tuesday and is out of danger to life now. [However] it will take some more weeks until he will be strong as before."
Although RAGE initially announced that they would be joined by former guitarist Manni Schmidt during their performance at the Helfenstein concert in Geislingen, Germany on June 19, the band eventually cancelled their appearance at the festival. Smolski is expected to fully recover in time for the band's performance at the Raismesfest in Raismem, France on September 11.
