RDIO On-Demand Music Streaming Service Adds CENTURY MEDIA Catalog
October 30, 2012Rdio, the on-demand music streaming service from the founders of Skype, has announced exciting new additions to its selection of over 18 million songs with the recent inclusion of the catalog of metal and hard rock heavyweights from the Century Media Records roster, including LACUNA COIL, SHADOWS FALL and many more.
Founded in Germany in 1988 by Robert Kampf, Century Media has seen the likes of LACUNA COIL, SHADOWS FALL, IN THIS MOMENT, ARCH ENEMY and SUICIDE SILENCE land on The Billboard 200 chart.
To celebrate, Century Media is currently spotlighted on Rdio and has launched a retrospective playlist of over 750 hand-picked songs that have been released since the label's inception in 1988. Tracks include the early years, landmark albums first licensed in the U.S. and new favorites. The playlist also includes tracks that were released through Century Black and Olympic. Listen here.
