Report: For AC/DC's First Bassist, Rock Is Hard, Feelings Aren't
February 17, 2010Adam Fulton of The Sydney Morning Herald reports: He could easily be among the most embittered people in rock music, but one AC/DC member who split with the group has no beef with those he left before they struck megastardom.
"I love it when they come to town, they're just a great band," said Mark Evans, who as the group's original bassist played on such gems as "High Voltage", "TNT" and "Let There Be Rock".
"There's no bad blood," Evans, of Balmain, said yesterday of his 1977 split from the group. "But also there's no relationship there. What we had in common was the band and other than that there's not a lot of common ground."
