RUNNING WILD: New Album Delayed
March 2, 2004RUNNING WILD's webmaster has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"[RUNNING WILD mainman] Rolf Kasparek phoned me today and told me about the new album, several festivals and many more...
"Well, first of all many greetings from Rolf. It took a bit longer to build up his own studio but now everything is finished so far. Unfortunately he has to pause at least 4 more weeks on account of a tendovaginitis in his left arm. Therefore the planned release of the new album scheduled for April/May was shifted to August (+- 4 weeks).
"A tour will definitely NOT take place. This may come as a surprise for many of you but it's just a decision that was made. RUNNING WILD will not do any touring on 2004 and probably not on 2005...but they WILL do several festivals for sure and probably some promotion-gigs.
"There are about 25 songs ready for recording but only about 10-12 songs will make it onto the regular CD and about 13-15 songs will appear on a special limited edition.
"Rolf told me that this is one of the most creative phases in band's history, because every band-member came up with several ideas. As a result of this creativity the new album will sound more varied than ever before.
"Rolf did not want to tell any song-titles by now, but he told me that there will be an epic song again in the band's very own tradition. This song will last about 12-15 minutes. After I asked him about the subject he answered: If you are new to the First World War — or are rusty after many years since history class — the reasons for the so-called 'Great War' can be shrouded in confusion. The new epic song's theme will be about how it all began and who did what...
"There will be new merchandise very soon, too...and new T-Shirts with Adrian! Of course you will be able to order these directly from the Shop.
"Stay tuned... There will be more surprises very soon, believe me..."
