SANCTIFICATION To Enter Studio In July

May 9, 2008

SANCTIFICATION, the Swedish death metal band featuring current/former members of GOD AMONG INSECTS, IN BATTLE and SOULDRAINER, has issued the following update on its upcoming CD:

"We have tried to fix things with Tony [Laureano, drums; DIMMU BORGIR, ex-NILE, ANGELCORPSE] up till now but it will be impossible to do this album with him. There is too little time for him and us to rehearse together before the studio so there for it will not work out as we want it to. There is no hard feelings from ether side so we just want to wish him good luck on the DIMMU BORGIR tour for now.

"We are gonna go with Nils [Fjellstrm, DARK FUNERAL] on this album to, and both parties are really looking forward to this! We have been rehearsing for four weeks now and it sounds fucking awesome! Nils is doing a great job with the songs as expected. We have played together for seven some years so we know each other in and out, so this will definitely be the best album we have done together for sure.

"We are entering the Abyss studio with Tommy Tgtgren July 7th for the recording and right when we are done Peter Tgtgren will take over and do the mix. After that it is time for Dan Swan to do the mastering."

The new SANCTIFICATION CD is tentatively due before the end of the year via Pulverised Records.

SANCTIFICATION's debut album, "Misanthropic Salvation", was released in 2003 through Remission Records.
