SAXON Frontman Talks Food In Video Interview
October 23, 2012Vocalist Biff Byford of British heavy metal legends SAXON was interviewed by Gilles Lartigot of "Heavy Metal Food", the Radio Metal column associating metal music with cooking, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. You can now watch the chat below.
SAXON recently finished mixing its new album with producer Andy Sneap, who has previously worked with MEGADETH, ACCEPT, NEVERMORE, EXODUS and ARCH ENEMY, among many others. The follow-up to 2011's "Call To Arms" will feature cover artwork by longtime SAXON artist Paul Raymond Gregory and is tentatively due in February 2013.
"Call To Arms" sold around 700 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD debuted at No. 51 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
