SCAR SYMMETRY Officially Added To DARK TRANQUILLITY North American Tour

Sweden's SCAR SYMMETRY has confirmed that it will participate in the upcoming North American tour featuring DARK TRANQUILLITY, THE HAUNTED and INTO ETERNITY. "We're really glad and excited to be a part of this great package, as well as getting the chance to play on American soil for the first time!" the band writes on its web site.

SCAR SYMMETRY adds: "As a consequence of this, we've unfortunately been forced to cancel our performance on this year's edition of ProgPower UK, set to take place on the 31st of March. We were truly looking forward to be a part of this festival, but when it comes to choose between doing one gig in England and touring North America for almost a month, the decision isn't really that hard to make. Hopefully we'll get a new chance to play on English soil later this spring."

SCAR SYMMETRY is currently writing material for its third album, set to be recorded at the end of the summer. "So far we have like 10 songs in the works and there are more set to be written in the near future," the group previously wrote. "Hopefully we'll have around 15-20 songs to choose from, in time for the recording."

SCAR SYMMETRY's sophomore album, "Pitch Black Progress", was released earlier in the year via Nuclear Blast Records.
