STONE TEMPLE PILOTS have added more shows to their summer schedule, confirming another four cities in addition to the four previously announced. According to LiveDaily.com, the trek now begins on July 1 in Los Angeles and will head east, hitting several festivals before wrapping up on July 18 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The group does not have plans to expand the run at the moment. Along with two shows the band played this past weekend in Southern California, these are the first gigs for STP since their extensive, six-month reunion tour last year.

STONE TEMPLE PILOTS were reactivated in 2008 after a six-year layoff, during which time Weiland recorded two albums with VELVET REVOLVER before being dismissed in April 2008.

The PILOTS have been writing music for their sixth studio album, and first since 2001's "Shangri-La-Dee-Da", but the process has been complicated by a contractual dispute between Weiland, drummer Eric Kretz and STP's label, Atlantic Records.

Weiland issued a second solo effort, called "Happy In Galoshes", last November and has been touring on his own behind that release.

July 01 - Los Angeles, CA - House of Blues
July 07 - Lansing, MI - Adado Riverfront Park
July 08 - Cincinnati, OH - PNC Pavilion
July 10 - Rama, ON - Casino Rama Entertainment Centre
July 11 - Sarnia, ON - Centennial Park
