Security Breach For THE DARKNESS
September 2, 2004THE DARKNESS saw their backstage private family party invaded by two obsessed female fans after a Paris gig last Tuesday. "We turned around and these two girls were standing there right in the middle of our private party," drummer Ed Graham told The Sun. "They've turned up at things before but this was different — it was a family party for just the band, our parents and a few other relatives. The girls were wearing special laminate security passes that hang around the neck and get their holders everywhere — even on-stage and backstage. It was a bit of a freaky experience to see them there. These girls had somehow managed to make up perfect copies of the passes. We think they had got us to pose with them for photos at a gig a week previously then used their pictures of our passes to make up imitation versions. It was rather scary really because you like to think you're safe when you're at your own private party. It's great meeting the fans but not when you're busy trying to have a quiet celebration with your parents." Read more.
