SHARON OSBOURNE 'Would Love' To Get AC/DC To Play Next Year's OZZFEST

August 10, 2008

Sharon Osbourne told Metro of the Philadelphia rock radio station 94 WYSP in a recent interview that she would love to get AC/DC to play next year's Ozzfest. "AC/DC are my favorite band," she said. "I love them. I would love to see Ozzy and AC/DC play together."

Sharon Osbourne's entire interview with 94 WYSP is available for download as an MP3 audio file at this location.

Ozzfest, a touring event for more than a decade, this summer transformed into a "destination festival." OZZY OSBOURNE and METALLICA headlined the one-day show last night (August 9). Also appearing on the main stage were SERJ TANKIAN, KORN singer Jonathan Davis, HELLYEAH, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY, SHADOWS FALL, APOCALYPTICA, IN THIS MOMENT and the "all-star tribute" to slain PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

Last year's Ozzfest, which hit 25 cities, was a free event, with tickets handled through corporate sponsorship. The tour caused controversy by asking acts to play without getting paid, which many felt led to a weaker lineup.
