SIGH's "Prelude To The Oracle" video can be viewed below. The clip was directed by David Hall, who states about the video, "The first things [vocalist-saxophonist] Dr. Mikannibal sent me were a lyric sheet and the album artwork. Based on the artwork, lyrics, and music I came up with the concept. Once we — Dr. Mikannibal, [frontman] Mirai [Kawasima] and myself — were in Baltimore, we met in person and talked about the concept.
"I don't know if the video directly reflects the lyrical content, but I hope that the intensity of the video reflects the intensity of the lyrics: The words are very dark and paint an apocalyptic picture of great suffering, and communal pain. I would have loved to create a huge wasteland full of dead bodies, but we didn't have the budget for that. Instead we get a small crowd of metalheads giving their all, shouting the chorus 'Death after Death!' so I think in some ways it's very fitting. Also, the way Mirai is addressing the camera directly gives his performance something of an oratorical air, like he's warning us about the end of the world..."
"Prelude To The Oracle" comes off SIGH's eighth studio album, "Scenes From Hell", which was release on January 19 via The End Records. The CD's cover artwork was designed by Eliran Kantor (TESTAMENT, AGHORA, TO-MERA, GWAR, SICKENING HORROR). The group states, "We're truly proud of the artwork. This is the perfect description of what the album is about — namely war, hell and death!"
