SILVERCHAIR Seeks Extras For New Video

November 10, 2006

Australia's SILVERCHAIR will film the video for the first single from their forthcoming album, "Young Modern", on Thursday, November 16.

The video's director is looking for extras to be filmed on the day for inclusion in the video. If you are keen to be involved you need to be over 18 years old. You will also need to make your own way to the location which is on a major railway line 30 minutes from Sydney's Central station.

Arrival time is 4:00 p.m. sharp and it is estimated you will be required for three hours.

If you live in Sydney and want to participate send an e-mail to [email protected] by Tuesday, November 14 with your name and mobile number. You will then be contacted directly with further details. Oh and you're welcome to bring a friend on the day too!

All songs for SILVERCHAIR's new disc are now fully recorded but the band is waiting for their mixer of choice to finish another album so he can begin work with them. At this stage that's scheduled for January so a spring release looks very likely.

SILVERCHAIR has sold over six million albums worldwide and enjoyed more top 40 singles in the last decade than any other Australian band. Their most recent CD — 2002's "Diorama" — was their most acclaimed and their highest seller in Australia to date. Following their sold-out "Across The Night Tour" in 2003, SILVERCHAIR took an extended break and worked on other projects before coming together again in 2005 for the Waveaid tsunami benefit concert in Sydney.
