SKEW SISKIN Announce New Drummer
June 14, 2003Germany's SKEW SISKIN have acquired a new drummer by the name of Damien. "He's a real crazy bird and we feel that we made an excellent choice," the band said in an official statement. "His drum skills match what SKEW SISKIN's rhythms are about: Keith Moon meets Phil Rudd! A steady 4/4 rhythm with a hard punch or an explosive attitude with a lot of breaks — especially important for SKEW SISKIN's well-known rides into fields of psychedelic landscape grooves."
SKEW SISKIN are putting the finishing touches to their new album, tentatively titled "Waste Your Youth", for a late 2003 release. The group are recording 14 new songs at Monongo studio in their hometown of Berlin and are describing the new material as "headbanging, earth-shaking, mind-quaking [tracks] to tear you apart." New songtitles include: "Fuck Too Much", "White Trash", "Jesus Of Cool", "We Hate", "All Fired Up", "Shake Me", "I'm The Goddess", "Girl On A Mission" and "2 Much 4 U".
SKEW SISKIN will support MOTÖRHEAD in Germany during November/December.

SKEW SISKIN, the high-octane rock 'n' roll band fronted by the ball-busting Nina C. Alice, were recently described by their close friend and fan Lemmy (MOTÖRHEAD) as "one of the best bands in the world right now. You've got a girl who sings like a cross between Bon Scott and Janis Joplin, and they sound like AC/DC mixed with thrash. They're a great band."
