SKITLIV Featuring Ex-MAYHEM Vocalist: New Song Posted Online
March 21, 2007SKITLIV, the band featuring former MAYHEM frontman Maniac, has posted a new song on its official MySpace page. The track "Slow Train Coming" is unmixed and unmastered and is one of several cuts that the group is considering for its debut album. The song was previously broadcast during Maniac's guest appearance in February on the popular Norwegian metal radio show "Tinitus", which airs weekly on the NRK P3 station.
SKITLIV's debut CD will include appearances by a number of guest musicians, and Maniac anticipates taking SKITLIV on the road once the album is released. The singer has also finished laying down vocals on a track for the forthcoming album by the Swedish band DEADWOOD, to be released shortly on the U.K. label Cold Spring.
Never one to avoid controversy, Maniac made a very bloody appearance at SHINING's February 3, 2007 gig in Sweden, along with the likes of CARPATHIAN FOREST's Nattefrost — a concert that generated a considerable amount of controversy and was covered extensively in the Swedish press and on television.
