SLIPKNOT's CLOWN Talks Live Album, BURGER KING Lawsuit
September 6, 2005ABC ePrep reports: As SLIPKNOT prepare to launch a South American tour, which will be followed by the final North American leg of their Subliminal Verses tour, percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan phoned ABC ePrep from Iowa to bring everyone up to date on the band. Crahan says that all of their recording for a November 1 live album is complete, having been taped at their recent shows in Tokyo, Osaka, Singapore and Las Vegas.
When asked about the letter his band's attorney recently sent to Burger King, demanding they stop running ads for their chicken fries using a band called COQ ROQ, because SLIPKNOT believe the fictional group is based on their stage personas, Crahan didn't have a lot to say. "I don't waste my time on B.S. like that," he said, adding, "I just wish it'd all go away one way or another." He did offer his personal opinion that, "everybody should quit eating Burger King" as a form of protest.
