SOCIETY 1 Frontman Performs World's First Guitar Solo While Suspended

November 14, 2007

SOCIETY 1 frontman Matt Zane, performed the world's first guitar solo while suspended this past weekend in Houston, Texas. The suspension was the highlight of the Pornstar Utopia and Ink Tattoo Convention. Although Matt has performed other suspensions, including one in front of over 40,000 at the Download festival, the guitar solo added a new challenge. "This was a lot harder than I imagined," stated Zane. "I guess that's why you've never seen anyone attempt it before. My movements were restricted and there was a lot of pain but overall I think I played well. I will tell you that I can probably outplay anyone if they had to put steel hooks in their back. So I guess that makes me the best suspension guitar player in the world. (laughs) Actually I am the only one so I don't have any competition."

After Matt played his guitar solo, he proceeded to pick up Pleasure Productions contract girl Tera Wray and spin around with her while the hooks were still in his back. The performance was also filmed by HBO for an upcoming documentary.

Video of the performance can be viewed below.

Matt Zane recently released "Tattooed & Tight 2" and will release "Punkd Ur Ass" in the coming weeks, which will include a suspension that was performed with Tera Wray while on Dave Navarro's web show Spread Entertainment.
