SPEED\KILL/HATE Sign With ESCAPI MUSIC

May 1, 2006

Escapi Music has announced the signing of SPEED\KILL/HATE to their already supercharged roster, which also includes the likes of TOKYO DRAGONS, DRAGONLORD, EIDOLON, MAHAVATAR and BODY COUNT, just to name a few.

SPEED\KILL/HATE's debut album, "Acts of Insanity", which is scheduled for release on June 6, features current OVERKILL axeman Dave Linsk and Mario Frasca on vocals (of note, OVERKILL drummer Tim Mallare and OVERKILL guitarist Derek Tailer play on the album as well).

"Acts of Insanity" was originally released in Europe in February 2005 via Listenable Records. A video for the song "Face the Pain" was filmed on April 6, 2005 with director Anthony M. Bongiovi of TBJ Entertainment, Inc., who has previously worked with SLAYER ("War at the Warfield" DVD),MARILYN MANSON ("Guns, God & Government" DVD),AC/DC and GODSMACK, among others.

According to a press release, "SPEED\KILL/HATE's style definitely fits in with the thrash community, but at the same time trying to do something a little different. Bridging the old with the new and adding in some death elements into the mix." Linsk said, "Mario is into some hardcore stuff and has a bit of that in his vocal style, and he brings that to the thrash thing that is going on in the music."

SPEED\KILL/HATE will be joining VADER, KATAKLYSM, DESTRUCTION, GRAVEWORM and THE ABSENCE on this year's Metal Crusaders Tour beginning May 26 in Montreal, Quebec.
