SPIRALARMS Featuring Ex-FORBIDDEN, MACHINE HEAD Members: New Music Available

SPIRALARMS guitarist Craig Locicero (ex-FORBIDDEN, MANMADEGOD) has issued the following update:

"Before the New Year started, we vowed to make '07 our time to make the impression that will help define our music. I believe we've accomplished that with our two newest songs that we just posted up on www.myspace.com/spiralarms, 'Windows Pain' and 'Kickin' A Hole'. To my ears, they embody everything that I personally need to get out of the music that I'm fortunate enough to help create with SPIRALARMS. It's our balance of heavy and beautiful in the mold of the timeless bands that we've all loved our whole lives. It feels perfect.

"I personally am very proud of these songs and the people I play music with. Of course, I stand by everything we've been doing the last couple of years. It's been the funnest growing experience that I've ever gone through so far. We've been lucky enough to have some great drummers behind the kit since Tim [Narducci, ex-SYSTEMATIC; guitar/vocals] and I started the SPIRAL — Steve Jacobs [ex-FORBIDDEN, MANMADEGOD], Paul Bostaph [ex-SLAYER, FORBIDDEN, TESTAMENT, EXODUS] and Eric Kretz [ex-STONE TEMPLE PILOTS] all put their souls into the time they played with us, all within a 1 1/2 years. We created some great stuff together. But it's Chris Kontos [ex-MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT] that really devoted his entire self into the music. He's probably the most unabashedly passionate person that I've ever known. I wouldn't even mention that if I didn't think it mattered. He's just brings so much to the table. Everyone in this band has a role that they fill perfectly and I appreciate all of them equally.

"If you're reading this off of our SPIRALARMS page then you've already been very supportive and aware of us for some time. We're forever grateful to all of the people who already 'get it' and is telling everyone else. You're ahead of the curve. You should also be the first know that our full-length CD is finally available. It's a compilation of our best demos from the last two years. You can order it here.

"Ultimately, this will be read by a lot more people then just our fans. Some of them are familiar with our previous bands and their works. And many of those people have a closed mind as to what they think we sound like, because of the way they remember us from years past. I know that seems ridiculous to most of you reading this, but it's true.

"The metal community is a very proud and stubborn one. In some cases they just don't listen without prejudice. Too bad, really, because I know those people have no idea how much of our past that we bring to the table in all of our music. I'm sure most of them would actually like our music if they gave it a chance. We couldn't make these songs without all of the experiences that we've LIVED. Not just listened to, heard about, or saw on the VH1. We were a part of something very special at that time.

"At the end of the day, I think that our backgrounds in heavy music and metal combined with our fearless approach to writing songs that make our souls sing will set us apart from the preconceptions. We're not afraid to be ourselves at any cost. Because from were I'm sitting, most new metal looks and sounds like a sadly insecure conundrum.
