STEVEN TYLER's Daughter MIA Launches Management Company

Mia Tyler, the 31-year-old daughter of AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler, has launched an as-yet-unnamed management company for young, up-and-coming artists in the rock and metal genres.

Regarding her decision to pursue a career in the music business, Mia told BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "Working in the music industry has always been something I have wanted to do. I made the decision this year to pursue this more and get into the management side of things. With all the friends I have in the music industry it just seems fitting and I'd like to think I am good at it. I'm sick of the Hollywood B.S. anyways.

"I have been working with bands to help guide them in the right direction. So management just seems more fitting."

She added, "I decided to start this management company with my best friend, Leah Catlett, who is the wife of NORMA JEAN's guitar player Chris Day. She is into the more southern rock side of things. I am more into rock/hardcore/metal. Also heading up our Canadian division is Alex Petrovich (a.k.a. Alex The Yeti Bones of THE MIGHTY NIMBUS, GEORGIAN SKULL, GYPSY CHIEF GOLIATH).

"Everyone thinks their band is amazing and they are going to make it. [So] I get a lot of crap sent to me. I don't mind weeding through it all but I'd like to get the word out on a bigger level.

"I have been working with a band out of L.A. called EVOLOVE. Also possibly working on a project with ex-PISSING RAZORS singer Jason Bragg."

Mia Tyler is the daughter of Steven Tyler and actress Cyrinda Foxe. She is the paternal half-sister of actress Liv Tyler (whose mother is actress and singer Bebe Buell). Steven Tyler wrote a song named after Mia which was released on the 1979 AEROSMITH album "Night In The Ruts".

Mia was married to ex-PAPA ROACH drummer Dave Buckner from 2003 to 2005 and was engaged to THE MERCY CLINIC/PROFESSIONAL MURDER MUSIC guitarist Brian Harrah in 2007-2008.
