STRYPER: 'Reborn' Manufacturing Mistake Results In 'Rare Collector's Item'

August 16, 2005

Reunited Christian hard rockers STRYPER have posted the following message on their official web site:

"[STRYPER's new album] 'Reborn' instantly becomes a rare collectible STRYPER item: Ooops.... Someone goofed and hit a wrong button causing a slight mistake in the song order during the CD manufacturing process.

"The album artwork states that tracks 7, 8 and 9 are:

07. If I Die
08. Wait For You
09. Rain

"That is how it was supposed to be on the CD, however, someone hit a wrong button when duplicating the CD and the music that ended up on the CD is actually:

07. Wait for You
08. Rain
09. If I Die

"The distributor will be remanufacturing the CD with the songs in the correct order. So, if you go to the store this week, you will be buying this rare 'Reborn' CD.

"Just like when the U.S. postal service printed the stamp with the airplane upside down, or the US Mint printed a small batch of coins with the back reversed, 'Reborn' too will go down in history as having a very small batch of collectible manufacturing 'mistakes.'

"Get yours NOW, because this will be fixed quickly and you will be one of the few owners of THE most rare CD in STRYPER history. This is sure to be one of the most valuable and rare collector's item for STRYPER fans worldwide."

"Reborn" marks STRYPER's first complete studio release of original material in over a decade, since 1990's "Against the Law", and features 10 original tracks marked by STRYPER's trademark blend of melodic vocals, heavy guitar licks and pounding drums, as well a new version of the previously released track "In God We Trust". The album was recorded in Massachussetts at Blue Jay Studio, Mixed Emotions, and singer Michael Sweet's home studio. Big3 Records will also release a STRYPER DVD, packed with live footage and special features, by the end of the year.

Original STRYPER members Michael Sweet (lead vocals, guitar),Oz Fox (lead guitar),Robert Sweet (drums) recently announced the addition of Tracy Ferrie (bass) to the band.
