STUCK MOJO Guitarist To Make Guest Appearance at Guitar Center Opening
July 11, 2005STUCK MOJO/FOZZY guitarist Rich Ward will be a special guest at the grand opening celebration of the new Guitar Center in Greenville, SC on Thursday, July 14 from 7:00 p.m. to midnight. The new store is located in the Market Place shopping center at 2463 Laurens Road. There will be tons of giveaways including televisions, DVD players, boom boxes, 10 chances to win $100,000 in a Lucky Guitar Line Up, guitars from Fender and Gibson, microphones from Audix & Audio Technica, and more. Word has it that Rich's picture will also be appearing on the outside of new Guitar Centers going up around the country.
Ward's debut solo album (under THE DUKE banner),entitled "My Kung-Fu Is Good", was released in May via Spitfire Records. Whereas STUCK MOJO and FOZZY are instantly recognizable by Ward's brutal riffage, THE DUKE takes a more melodic approach and focuses on the songwriting. Tracks like "Used to Be", "Running" and "The Way" show the maturity of Ward as a songwriter. "My Kung-Fu Is Good" also sees Rich take up vocal duty to what will surely establish him as not only a guitar hero but also a brilliant singer and songwriter.
