SUGARCOMA Finish Recording Pre-Production Demos
May 24, 2003Britain's SUGARCOMA have completed work on the latest batch of demos for their sophomore album, tentatively due in early 2004 through Music For Nations Records.
Says drummer James Cuthbert: "Basically we finished recording the demos for the second album [last week]. We have three-quarters of the second album written, this has all been done in the last few months. Plus we have spent most of the last two years recording/touring so we need a break to catch up with songwriting. We will be playing a few gigs to keep ourselves tight and keep ourselves occupied! We really do appreciate everyone sticking by us over the last few months. All we can say is please stick by us and be patient as there will be tours, releases etc, soon and if the new recordings are anything to go by the next album should be great!"
SUGARCOMA, who were previously reported to be in talks with THE WILDHEARTS mainman Ginger about producing the follow-up to 2002's "Becoming Something Else", will make their next live appearance on June 14 at TJ's in Newport, Wales. Also set to appear are SKINDRED.
