In other news, ST frontman Mike Muir has issued the following statement about the group's recent activities via the band's official web site:

SUICIDAL has always been lucky to have a great Suicyco family. Of course there will always people that will not understand what we believe are very important aspects of what we do, and take it to the ears only and not the heart. To be honest, that was a big reason why we decided to stop in late '94. Being popular and being effective often are two completely different things.

“So what's the point? This last year has been a very tough year for a lot of people. It also has been tough for several of the band and family members. Without going into details, never have we dealt with so much of our immediate family members having major health issues and unfortunately too many deaths. It's really annoying to come home from visiting some one in the hospital only to get some idiot e-mail saying, 'Get off your lazy ass and tour'.

“First off, we all have jobs besides being in the band. That's part of the price of the life we choose. Because as i said in our first interview, 'SUICIDAL will never become a job...we'll quit before it does'. I'm glad to say, a lot of people have e-mailed and pretty much figured out something has been wrong, and although they didn't know what's going on, it was nice to get so many e-mails of support. So I thank you for your support, and understanding we preferred to keep this personal.

“As for the band, fortunately we all have our health. I was supposed to have shoulder surgery last summer, but I've been doing therapy and it's gotten way better and am confident it will no longer get in the way of my band responsibilities

“Now the number one question...What's up with the band? We've had, and continue to have many discussions on how or if we are going forward. There are seven projects that we are presently working on and are in various stages of completion. most of these will probably never be released. It may surprise you to know that the majority of projects we do have never been heard and never will. In the recent past some projects were mentioned and created interest and curiosity, and although we've decided not to release them, we still get people asking for copies etc, and we cant do that, sorry. Therefore of the seven projects we'll just say two are possible new ST CDs. and hopefully one will be released in the fall. And of course, if and when the status of any the projects changes, we'll let you know. We do hope to have more info before summer on some of these and suicidal records releases.

“Which leads to question number two...When you gonna tour? If we get a ST CD out this fall, we will probably start touring at that time in the states. Then in no order, we hope to go back and do a proper tour of Europe, South America and Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

“Question number three...Who's in the band? Mike Muir vocals, Mike Clark guitar, Dean Pleasants guitar, Ron Brunner Jr. drums, Steve Brunner bass. As was mentioned along time ago [drummer] Brooks [Wackerman] is out of the band and we feel very lucky to have Ron Jr. playing with us. I can honestly say he is the best drummer I have not only played with, but the best drummer I've seen. i cant wait till you get the opportunity to see him play and be blown away by him too. We also are lucky to have his brother join us on bass. The band is really jelling and jamming like never before. We are quite confident if you give us a chance we'll have you all being believers too.

“Last Thursday SUICIDAL played a quick hour set at the Vans Skatepark at the block in Orange. The band played the after party for the movie premiere of the dogtown and z-boys movie. Having ST play was logical as original Z Boy James Muir as the older brother of singer Mike Muir. The invitation only party was packed with quite a selection of people, from the old and new who's who in skating, to various actors, celebrities, musicians, extreme sports athletes, friends of friends and of course the good ole party crashers. lol. THE ADOLESCENTS opened it off and then ST went off. seemed to be a great time by all. Dave Hidalgo Jr, son of LOS LOBOS member filled in on drums and did a great job after only two practices. Josh Paul took back the bass and was as great as always. The double trouble bass and drum combo of Steve and Ron, were unable to do the show as they were playing with (yes, this is correct),SNOOP DOGG. All is good though as they are set up for the ST European summer tour. Don't be surprised if a west coast date or two pops up before or right after this tour.”
