SVARTSYN: Massive Destruction In Memorandum

May 18, 2006

Swedish cult black metallers SVARTSYN have commenced the songwriting process for their fourth album, tentatively due before the end of the year via Sound Riot Records. The band have issued the following update on their current status:

"For over three years there has been only an indistinct pulse in the veins of SVARTSYN. It is of utter and total significance for both members that the performance of every rehearsal and recording session is done in spirit black and a never-ending hunger to create and sharpen a destructive atmosphere and message. For over three years this yearning has been missing.

"A few months ago SVARTSYN felt the call to channel the depths of the occult once more. Both members desired to create and carve in stone. Straight, natural and close to the core of black metal in arrangement and sound — desolation in atmosphere — massive destruction in memorandum.

"A spirit black is reborn and shall face mankind again. Later this year, released by Sound Riot Records — this vision will be brought to you."

SVARTSYN had previously issued their third album, "Destruction Of Man", via Sound Riot. A re-release of the band's second LP, "Bloodline", featuring the "Tormentor" 7" EP as a bonus track on CD format, was made available in 2005.
