SYBREED: In Writing Mode

Switzerland's futuristic metal band SYBREED has issued the following update:

"Since we received a bunch of mails asking us about the lack of apparent activity from the band (such as playing in venues, malls or at your sister wedding),we thought it was time for a little news on how's the band doing and about our actual and future plans.

"With the coming of September, we've found out that it was the good moment to begin writing new songs and maybe think about recording a new album. The process is going to be long before we would be able to complete it so we have decided to greatly slow down on touring: we might play shows here and there but the third record will remain our top priority until its release. Of course, some of you are surely already eager to know details about this forthcoming record, but … we aren't going to say too much and keep it a bit 'hush-hush.' However, we will definitely make small updates once in a while and give you hints and clues on how the next SYBREED album is going to sound like."

SYBREED released its second album, "Antares", in the U.S. on August 15 via Koch Records. The U.S. version of the CD includes a previously unreleased song called "Plasmaterial" as a bonus track, which is "our way to beg your pardon for having taken so much time to unleash this LP on the American soil," says the group.

"Antares" was released in Europe in October 2007 via Listenable Records. The CD, which was previously described by the band as "the red pulsing noise celebrating the fall from grace, the loss of hope and innocence, and our own human nature confronted to eternity," features a guest appearance on drums by Dirk Verbeuren (SOILWORK, SCARVE).
