THE AGONIST Singer Joins KAMELOT On Stage (Video)
September 25, 2011THE AGONIST vocalist Alissa White-Gluz joined KAMELOT on stage on September 23 in Orlando, Florida to perform the song "March Of Mephisto". Fan-filmed video footage of her appearance can be seen below.
The Orlando concert was the final date of KAMELOT's North American tour with THE AGONIST, ALESTORM and BLACKGUARD.
Singer Simone Simons of Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA performed with KAMELOT at all shows on the trek, which kicked off on August 26.
Simone the longtime girlfriend of KAMELOT keyboardist Oliver Palotai previously appeared on the song "The Haunting", which was included on KAMELOT's 2005 album "The Black Halo", and on the band's newest ballad, "House On A Hill", as well the title track of KAMELOT's latest album, 2010's "Poetry For The Poisoned". She has also made a number of live appearances with the group, including on KAMELOT's recent South American and European tours.
KAMELOT's recently completed South American and European tours featured guest singer Fabio Lione of RHAPSODY OF FIRE following the departure of KAMELOT's longtime frontman, Roy Khan. Lione who also handled lead vocals for KAMELOT on the band's North American trek stated in an interview that he would "would love" to join KAMELOT permanently. He said, "The KAMELOT songs are great, I really like the style and Khan is probably one of the few singers that I like. So, of course, I would consider that!!! But first let's do the North American [tour]. Then if they will ask me, I'll be more than happy to join the band permanently."
He added, "Since the first time we met and played together, we had a very good feeling. Everything was easy and natural like we knew each other for years and everybody who saw the band in South America or Europe said we did great shows. I'm happy for the guys and the fans, so let's see what the future will bring for us. Never say never."
The remaining members of KAMELOT have already begun searching for a permanent replacement, with KAMELOT founder/guitarist Thomas Youngblood stating in a recent interview, "I have a few guys in mind. And as you can imagine, it is a very important decision. There are some amazing singers that have already contacted us on this but we will take our time to find the right person."
