THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND Drummer To Guest On ANNIHILATOR Bassist's Solo CD
January 12, 2004THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND drummer Ryan Van Poederooyen is scheduled to record a guest appearance on five songs for the upcoming solo album from ANNIHILATOR bassist Russell Bergquist. "I'm going to start learning his material in the next week or so," Ryan writes on his web site. "This should be a very fun session to do. Russell is an amazing bass player with tons of talent and great ideas. There is no name or release date announced for this project yet."
In other news, Van Poederooyen is "also doing a session for singer/solo artist Evan Dease from Kansas City, Kansas, USA. He will be flying into Vancouver to do a session this month. The 'dream-team' of Brian Howes (CLOSURE) and Jay Van Poederooyen (My bro!) will be respectively, producing and engineering this project. The music is 'catchy-as-hell-Pop-Rock' and it should be fun laying down some fat grooves for his tunes. The recording will take place at Greenhouse Studios, known for recording bands like NICKELBACK, BON JOVI and QUEENSRŸCHE, to name a few."
