THE GATHERING Face Potential Lawsuit Over Split With Century Media

February 24, 2002

Contrary to a statement issued by the band via their official web site, Holland's THE GATHERING are still signed to Century Media Records and are expected to deliver their next studio album to the label, according to an informed source contacted by BLABBERMOUTH.NET. THE GATHERING reportedly have one more album under their present agreement with the company, and will likely be faced with legal proceedings if they make an attempt to record for another label, the source said.

Last October, THE GATHERING announced the launch of their own record company, dubbed Psychonaut Records, which was widely viewed as the likely candidate to release all of the group's future recording output following the expiration of their current Century Media contract.

We'll have more information on THE GATHERING's future plans as it becomes available.
