THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT To Explore Historical Events On Upcoming CD
January 28, 2004Dutch brutal death metal band THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT are currently working on new material for their second CD, tentatively titled "The Bloody Fields Of History", due later in the year through Cold Blood Industries. Among the songtitles set to appear on the follow-up to 2002's "The Apotheosis" are the following (along with the lyrical concept, in the band's words):
01. "Army of Despised"

02. "7 Months of Suffering"
"7 Months of disease and suffering in the Filistin city Asdod when they conquered the 'Ark des Verbond' from the Jews."
03. "Concrete Sarcophagus"
"Tells us about the Chernobyl disaster in 1986."
04. "Kolyma - The White Crematorium"
"Political prisoners had to find gold for Stalin in the dreaded 'Land of Gold Death' under barbarous circumstances."
05. "King of Aceldama"
"The link between the traitor of Jezus Christ, Judas Iscariot and the vampire Dracula. Based on the film 'Dracula 2000'."
06. "1567...Under the Bloodcampaign"
"Tells us about the inquisition from 'Iron Duke Alva' during the '80 year war'."
07. "The Nero Order"
"After Hitler found out his war was lost, he was so disappointed in the German race that he ordered to knot the game with the German properties. Everything had to be destroyed. This was prevented by The Allies."
08. "The Blood Road"
