THE OLD DEAD TREE Complete Work On New Album
May 10, 2005French gothic metallers THE OLD DEAD TREE have completed work on their new album, "The Perpetual Motion", at Stage One studio in Germany within with producer Andy Classen. The follow-up to 2003's "The Nameless Disease" is scheduled for release on August 29 through Season of Mist. "We feel very enthusiastic about the 12 new songs and about Andy Classen's work as producer!" the band write on their web site.
As previously reported, THE OLD DEAD TREE recently announced the addition of drummer Foued Moukid (ex-HORRESCO REFERENS) to the group's ranks.
Moukid joins the band as the replacement for Franck Métayer, who left the group back in February.
THE OLD DEAD TREE's original drummer, Frédéric Guillemot, committed suicide in 1999, shortly after the release of the group's debut mini-CD, "The Blossom".
THE OLD DEAD TREE have been confirmed for the 2005 edition of the Fury Fest, set to take place June 24-26 in Le Mans, France. Other groups scheduled to perform at the festival include SLAYER, IN FLAMES, ARCH ENEMY, DIMMU BORGIR and SUICIDAL TENDENCIES.
