THE QUIREBOYS: More 'Fancy' 20th-Anniversary Reissue Details Revealed

October 14, 2009

U.K.'s THE QUIREBOYS, in conjunction with EMI Records, will release a 20th-anniversary edition of "A Bit Of What You Fancy" on November 9. This reissue will include the original 12-track album plus eight bonus album demo recordings, all of which have been digitally remastered from original master tapes at Abbey Road Studios. The remastered album also contains an information booklet which features extensive sleeve notes with new quotes from the band. It will be available exclusively from Jerkin' Crocus Records.

Released in 1990, "A Bit Of What You Fancy" reached No. 2 on the U.K. chart. Four of the tracks from this LP ("7 O'Clock", "Hey You", "I Don't Love You Anymore" and "There She Goes Again") were released as singles, with promotional videos to go along with them. "Hey You" was the most successful, as it reached No. 14 on the U.K. single chart.

THE QUIREBOYS will release a new acoustic/Americana style album this November. Entitled "Halfpenny Dancer", the CD features new versions of "King Of New York", "There She Goes Again", "Roses And Rings" and more. Also included are some surprise cover versions.

"Halfpenny Dancer" was recorded at Moor Hall studios with producer Chris Corney and will be made available November 1 exclusively via www.quireboys.com.
