THESYRE: New Album Update

September 17, 2008

Eric M. Syre, vocalist/bassist for Quebec-based black metallers THESYRE, has issued the following update:

"The drums for our new album ['Résistance'] were recorded in two days. The rough mix we have so far indicates we'll have a solid backbone to work with. The guitars should follow soon and the bass will be added right after. As far as the voices are concerned, this should be a little different this time, mixing in more clean vocals and varying the delivery with the harsh vocals. The lyrics are short and to the point; less words and stronger meanings, I would say.

"I am working on the artwork and once again this should be a slight departure from the 'norm'. I think it's time for us to stretch the envelope a bit without sacrificing the initial concept.

"Having a video to back up the release of the album would be great."

THESYRE's third album, "Exist!", was released in 2006 via Osmose Productions.
