THIN LIZZY Frontman Jams With TRUCKER DIABLO In ireland (Video)
February 21, 2011THIN LIZZY/THE ALMIGHTY frontman Ricky Warwick played a solo show this past Saturday, February 19 at The Diamond Rock Club in Northern Ireland just two days after the end of the THIN LIZZY European tour. In a twist to the usual format, this was a "reverse" headliner, where Ricky came on first and played the longest set of the night, took a break while support band, rising Northern Irish stars TRUCKER DIABLO, took to the stage, then Ricky came back up to jam with TRUCKER. This jam included "Juggernaut" from TRUCKER's album "The Devil Rhythm", a song which Ricky lends vocals to, THE ALMIGHTY classic "Free And Easy", and a "killer" version of the MOTÖRHEAD anthem "Ace Of Spades".
Following the gig, Warwick posted the following message on his Facebook page: "Gotta admit I was burnt and the voice a little shot after the LIZZY tour, but [Saturday] night's solo show in the Diamond was really great. Once again the crowd up there were fantastic and jamming with TRUCKER DIABLO at the end was immense (what a great band and bunch of guys)."
Video footage of the jam can be viewed below.
