THURISAZ Completes Work On New Album
October 29, 2010Belgium-based metallers THURISAZ have completed work on their third album, "The Cimmerian Years", for a tentative early 2011 via an as-yet-undetermined record label. The CD was recorded and mixed at CCR Studio in Zulte, Belgium with producer Kris Belean. The band states about the new material, "It's once again a mixture of all kinds of metal elements (and beyond),relished with lots of melody and melancholy."

"The Cimmerian Years" features guest appearances by Paul Kuhr (NOVEMBERS DOOM),Thomas A. G. Jensen (SATURNUS) and Els Blieck (INIS CATHAIGH).
THURISAZ last year parted ways with bassist Lars Vereecke and replaced him with Hannes Leroy.
The band had its 2004 debut album, "Scent of a Dream", reissued in April 2008 through Shiver Records. The LP was remastered and contains an acoustic live version of "Years of Silence" as the bonus track.
THURISAZ' second full-length album, "Circadian Rhythm", was released in 2007 via Shiver.
