TOMMY LEE Emcees 'Miracle on State Street 7' Concert In Chicago
December 20, 2005MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee was in Chicago on Friday, December 16 to emcee the "Miracle on State Street 7" concert, which featured ALANIS MORISETTE, BEN FOLDS and THE FRAY. After the show at the Chicago Theatre, Tommy brought Alanis with him over to LePassage, where he brought the big beats with DJ Paul Blair. Club owner Billy Dec was spotted hanging out in the DJ booth.
As previously reported, MÖTLEY CRÜE will close out the year with a December 31 New Year‘s Eve show in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and then resume touring February 10 in Columbus, Georgia.
Afterward, MÖTLEY CRÜE plan to begin work on their first new studio album since 2000's "New Tattoo", according to Billboard.com. A handful of new songs were included on the compilation "Red, White & Crüe", which debuted in February at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 457,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The band‘s 2005 roadwork has grossed more than $33 million from 84 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore, 40 of them sell-outs.
