TOMMY LEE Says His Collaboration With PINK Won't Be Released For 'Personal' Reasons

February 18, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: Even though he's on the road with MÖTLEY CRÜE, drummer Tommy Lee is also finishing up a new solo album. Lee says that it's a guest-filled affair and told Launch who we can expect to hear: "Slash [VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES] is on it. Dave Navarro [ex-JANE'S ADDICTION]. The guys from GOOD CHARLOTTE. Nick Carter [BACKSTREET BOYS]. Butch Walker. I was working on a song with Pink, but she's not gonna be able to release the tracks for personal reasons. But... Andrew McMahon from a band called SOMETHING CORPORATE. I've got a confirmation from Steven Tyler, and I've got calls into Lenny Kravitz."

Lee expects to put the album out in June, to coincide with his NBC-TV reality series, "Tommy Lee Goes To College".

This will be Lee's third album outside of MÖTLEY CRÜE. He spearheaded METHODS OF MAYHEM in 1999, and released "Never A Dull Moment" in 2002 under his own name. He's also played on albums by NINE INCH NAILS and ROB ZOMBIE.
