ULI JON ROTH: More Details Announced Regarding Upcoming Los Angeles Concerts

Uli Jon Roth's (ex-SCORPIONS) production manager Jeff Agins has contacted BLABBERMOUTH.NET with an update on Roth's upcoming first-ever Sky Academy Seminar & Sky Music Festival, which is going to take place in Los Angeles, California on May 24-28, 2006.

Says Agins: "Uli Jon Roth's Sky Academy concerts are now titled Uli Jon Roth and Friends. The concerts will feature Uli and his all-star band as well as include many special guest artists. The dates are May 24, May 26 and May 27 at the Freud Theater on the campus of UCLA. We are getting a lot of interest from artists some confirmed and some we are still waiting on confirmation. We will be announcing the confirmed guests within the next week or two. Tickets will be on sale in mid-March through ticketmaster or the Sky Academy website. This is should be the concert of the year for melodic rock fans. Some of the guests that have shown interest have never played in the States before and will be an excellent opportunity to see this type of music without having to travel to Europe and Japan. The www.sky-academy.com website will be updated regularly with news and happenings as we get confirmation. Uli says that he 'really wants to put the hammer down with these shows!'"

As previously reported, Roth is expected to be joined at the shows by bassist Francis Buchholz (ex-SCORPIONS),Ferdy Doernberg (AXEL RUDI PELL) on keyboards, Olaf Senkbeil (DREAMTIDE) on vocals, and Michael Ehre on drums. The setlist will reportedly include "lots of SCORPIONS, ELECTRIC SUN and HENDRIX."

Uli Jon Roth will be performing at the B.B. King's Blues Club in New York City on May 16. Additional U.S. dates are expected to be announced soon.
