URIAH HEEP Drummer Interviewed On 'Rich Davenport's Rock Show' (Audio)
November 19, 2011Have you ever wondered what it would be like to join a band that's a bona fide rock institution? URIAH HEEP drummer Russell Gilbrook (who previously played with Tony Iommi, Cozy Powell's former band BEDLAM, and the GENERATORS OF DISTORTED SOUND, among others) found out when he joined the band in 2007, 38 years into the group's existence.
Russell was recently interviewed on "Rich Davenport's Rock Show" this week, and spoke about what it's been like touring the world and recording new studio albums with HEEP over the last four years, and what's in store for the future. The interview also features Russell's choice of a HEEP classic (from the band's recent "Live In Armenia" CD) and a song from the group's recent studio album, "Into The Wild". The show is also packed with killer cuts old and new from RAINBOW, THIN LIZZY, LYNYRD SKYNYRD, MORTON, THE MAGNIFICENT and DRAGONLAND.

"Into The Wild" was released on April 15 in Europe and will be made available on May 3 in North America via Frontiers Records. The CD was produced by Mike Paxman (STATUS QUO, ASIA) and features cover artwork (see below) by the renowned Greek-American artist Ioannis (LYNYRD SKYNYRD, STYX, SAGA).
