VICIOUS RUMORS Aiming For "Crushing, High-Energy, Signature Sound" On Next CD

Veteran San Francisco Bay Area melodic metallers VICIOUS RUMORS are currently in pre-production for their 11th full-length CD, which will tentatively be recorded during the summer for a late 2002 release. According to the group's official web site, the as-yet-untitled album will feature a crushing, high-energy, signature VR sound ala Welcome to the Ball and Digital Dictator.

Back to the big studios, stated lead guitarist Geoff Thorpe. We're going old school production Two-inch tape, fat analog recording for a huge, classic VR sound for this new CD!

Demos for the new CD will be recorded in April and May, and sound clips will be made available on the VICIOUS RUMORS web site shortly thereafter.

In related news, Thorpe will make a special guest appearance with RAWHEAD REXX at the Bang Your Head festival, which is scheduled to take place in Balingen, Germany on June 28th and 29th.
