VOIVOD To Begin Work On New Album, Compile "Best Of" CD

Former METALLICA and current ECHOBRAIN bassist Jason Newsted will join Canadian cyber-metallers VOIVOD in the studio this summer for the recording of the group's tenth studio album, which is tentatively due to be released through Century Media Records in early 2003. Also in the works is a Best Of CD spanning the band's entire career and an upcoming collection of the band's Iron Gang demos in CD format.

As previously reported, the current incarnation of VOIVOD will perform their first reunion show with vocalist Snake (a.k.a. Denis Belanger) on Friday, April 26th at Sonic Unyon Upstairs in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The band are also scheduled to support MOTRHEAD on April 27th at The Docks in Toronto, and on April 28th at Le Medley in Montreal.
