Woman Dies Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning At Germany's WITH FULL FORCE Festival

July 14, 2009

A 23-year-old woman was found dead in her tent at this year's With Full Force festival, which was held July 3-5, 2009 at Flugplatz Roitzschjora in Löbnitz, Germany. According to German media reports, the woman died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the source of which has not yet been determined. Two of her friends, aged 18 and 19, also had traces of carbon monoxide in their system and suffered from nausea, but managed to survive.

Carbon monoxide (CO) is produced whenever any fuel such as gas, oil, kerosene, wood, or charcoal is burned.

You can't see or smell carbon monoxide, but at high levels it can kill a person in minutes.

This year's With Full Force festival included performances by such bands as MOTÖRHEAD, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, SEPULTURA, DOWN, HATEBREED and MASTODON.
