Writer JOEL MCIVER To Guest On IRON MAIDEN Singer's BBC Radio Show

August 14, 2008

Tune in to the "Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show" on BBC 6 Music on Friday, August 15 to hear IRON MAIDEN singer Bruce Dickinson chat with special guest Joel McIver, biographer of METALLICA, SLAYER, BLACK SABBATH and more. The show begins at 9:00 p.m. GMT (1:00 p.m. PST); McIver is interviewed by Dickinson about his work from 11:00 p.m. GMT (3:00 p.m. PST).

During the chat, Dickinson asks McIver for his opinion of METALLICA's forthcoming album, "Death Magnetic" (McIver attended a listening session for the album in June),McIver's best-selling 2004 biography of METALLICA titled "Justice For All: The Truth About Metallica", and his recent book "The Bloody Reign Of Slayer", which has received glowing reviews in the international rock press.

McIver also reveals on the show that he is currently co-writing the autobiography of legendary DEEP PURPLE/BLACK SABBATH singer Glenn Hughes, due for publication in 2009. McIver and Hughes have been working on the book for the last two years and, as the author tells Dickinson, "Glenn has led a life that you literally would not believe. He shouldn't be alive today. This book tells the story of his downfall and miraculous recovery to his current state of sobriety in full, technicolor detail with no punches pulled."

You can listen to the "Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show" live via the Internet at this location. The show is archived at the same page for several days after broadcast.
