YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, DEREK SHERINIAN Trade Guest Appearances

Former DREAM THEATER keyboardist Derek Sherinian has finished tracking his parts for the forthcoming YNGWIE MALMSTEEN CD, entitled Attack, which is currently being recorded in Miami, Florida for a late summer release through Spitfire Records. According to Derek, "[Yngwie] was very specific in what he wanted, which unfortunately did not include any keyboard solos. But... after I finished playing on his CD, he played on two songs on my next solo CD... One song with Yngwie and Al DiMeola, and one with Yngwie and Zakk Wylde."

As yet untitled, the forthcoming solo album from Sherinian will include appearances by Malmsteen, Wylde, DiMeola, Billy Sheehan, Tony Franklin (ex-BLUE MURDER/THE FIRM),Brian Tichy (ex-OZZY OSBOURNE) and Simon Philips. A September release is expected.
