ZAKK WYLDE: 'U.S. Troops Will Crush And Dominate' The Iraqis
March 24, 2003OZZY OSBOURNE/BLACK LABEL SOCIETY guitarist Zakk Wylde was recently asked how war with Iraq is affecting his touring plans with both groups.
"The Ozzfest obviously was talking about going over to Europe," Wylde told Launch. "Who knows if we're still going by that time and things are starting to get ugly or whatever, but you know...We'll see what happens. I think it's more down to the terrorism thing, because I don't think it will have anything to do with [combat] because we have the best troops in the world, so I mean they're just going to go over there and crush and dominate and then they can get everybody back home."
Of the potential of a backlash from the war, Wylde added, "They're a bunch of candy-ass little pussies. They may start doing that whole terrorism thing, you know what I mean. That's the only thing that may get a little sticky. Aside from that, I don't see how it's going to change much."
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's new CD, "The Blessed Hellride", is due on April 22 through Spitfire Records. The first single off the album, "Stillborn", features a guest appearance by Ozzy Osbourne.
