JUDAS PRIEST/IRON MAIDEN/MOTÖRHEAD Tour A No-Go: Management
March 2, 2003JUDAS PRIEST Management Co-Ordinator Jayne Andrews has refuted a freshly-circulated rumor that JUDAS PRIEST (featuring Rob Halford) will be embarking on a summer U.S. tour with IRON MAIDEN and MOTÖRHEAD as part of a monster package that will see PRIEST and MAIDEN sharing the stage for the first time since 1983. According to Andrews, "That rumor has been circulating for quite a while now and it is NOT TRUE!!!! Believe what you like but I know it's not happening!!" JUDAS PRIEST are said to have started the songwriting process for the group's next studio CD — the band's first since their split with Atlantic Records in the U.S. last year — while IRON MAIDEN are expected to issue their follow-up to 2000's "Brave New World" in the summer.
